I am interested in the mechanistic study of intracellular and intercellular necroptosis, an inflammatory cell death that occurs in pathological conditions such as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Necroptosis is known to proceed through membrane rupture, leading to cell death and the production of cytokines that underpins its immunogenic nature. My goal is to answer two questions: 1) How is cytokine production regulated? 2) How can necroptosis propagate from one cell to the other?
